When I did my engine conversion, I replaced my starter contacts before I even used the engine itself!


Old contact on the left, new one on the right. Good thing I replaced it when I did, or I would have the same problem as you. You most likely only need ONE new contact. The main hot side usually wears out 2 or 3 times faster than the opposing contact.
