is it throwing any codes?
in the diagnostics terminal on the pass. fender (little box next to the engine bay fuse box) just the Te1 and E1 terminals with a paperclip. Turn the truck on, and then count the pattern of blinks the check engine light goes through. Then use this link
http://www.off-road.com/toyota/tech/codes/ to find out what codes are being thrown
