Well, im my opinion Exedy is the best Japanese clutch manufacture in Japan. Their typical slam-it-together kit is actually very very high quality. All of their clutch disks are very well constructed and very high quality.
I am assuming that they dont really have any lower end clutch kits though.. I've only heard of them selling high performance clutches that cost $275+ so if your looking at a kit that's $150 or something then I dont know about that.
But with Exedy you pay more for great quality. In case your wondering how I have experience, I am using an Exedy 4-pluck kevlar clutch in my MR2. Night and day difference between the Exedy and the TRD wanna-be kevlar racing disk. TRD is the worst aftermarket company as far as Im concerned when it comes to quality. My Exedy grabs so well, has lasted a long time, and never slipped not even once with my Stage 2.5 engine.
