Hey guys,

Last weekend I was informed of a low mileage 3RZ at a local wrecking yard in an XtraCab 2WD Tacoma, so I went down there first thing in the morning............

.........I get there, find the truck, start checking it out,,,,,,,,,,, ITS A 2RZ-FE.

The Truck:
1996/4 Toyota Tacoma XtraCab
2WD 5speed

The Engine:
2RZ-FE


I was pretty shocked. The strange thing is that the intake manifold said "16 Valve" just like the 3RZ does, whereas I've seen plenty of 2RZs that do not have the "16 Valve" badge on the intake manifold. So at first glance, I thought for sure it was a 3RZ. But something didn't look right, so I check the marking on the side of the block below the thermostat housing, and sure enough, in large letters, "2RZ"
