I 'm using an LC pro clutch and 30 LB. flywheel. It has been running for years with F+R lockers, 35's, etc.
Havn't let all the smoke out of it yet....I'm impressed......
My buddy has the Marlin 1600lb, and pedal pressure is really easy, and it holds very well. Even with a strong LC motor.
