I would just bring disposables.. with digitals you can't catch that split second that the disposable can.. even though they're not that awsome quality, they're better to catch the second rather than clicking the camera and having to wait 3+ seconds :headscratch:

Not all cameras do that.  My  HP digital camera (RIP :smack: )  was great for quick shots, and its a lot easier to do stuff with.  Ironically, it didn't break on the trail, I broke it at home.  I'm actually looking for pretty much the exact same camera.  I had a kodak digital, and that thing was a piece of crap.  The HP was much better, and still pretty cheap.
