I never dented my small armor in the front and I beat the 
out of it. I also never even ran a rear guard and never really dented it either but I guess I dont go in reverse much. Now im running one big solid piece of armor for the front thats a mix of 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" and I think ill be alright with it
