id like to see what that thing can do in the rocks

Well with the stock 1.6L 90hp it doesn't have a whole lot of power turning 300lbs of tires and wheels.  That's why I want to put in the 3RZ, W56 and dual xfer cases.  Stock R&P are 5.29's and I have 5.71's now so I can't go any lower there.  On the last 4-5' waterfall that I tried I got the front tires over and the rears most of the way up and ran out of power...slid back down and popped three inch gash in the sidewall of one tire.  I've smoked clutches and warped the fly wheel/ pressure plate, broke transmission  and engine mounts, a xfer case and a front third  on other rock challenges.  Some of those breakages were with the old wound up IFS.  After the engine/transmission/xfercase swap I want to go back to all of the trails that I broke stuff on and I am sure that it will do much better.  I will go back down to 5.29's and probably only have to watch the birfs but I found some Longs at the salvage yard and need to get those in.  I am hoping that my driving will be much more graceful :eyebrow:
1991 Daihatsu Rocky, 3RZ-fe, Marlin super heavey duty clutch and pressure plate, Marlin W56-C-HD, duals, Marlin twinstick, three link front with Fox AirShox, 35's, Toy axles, 5.29:1, ARB F&R etc.
