the Texas supreme court came to a decision that, in basic terms, the claim to immanent domain can be made if their is even the slightest chance of profit. the process to declare immanent domain is being made much shorter if the politicians get what they want. apparently their expecting allot of cases of this to pop up soon.
to my mind Immanent domain is the biggest crock that I have ever heard of. If I work all my life to get a good piece of land no man should be able to move me from it. Luckily I live far enough in the boonies, in the middle of a flood plane (highest point in it, has never flooded in the last 100+ years) so I doubt Wal-Mart is going to be bulldozing me
