TurtleTruck,
Ah hah!
Your powers of deduction are keen, grasshopper.
It is the Fry mountains, I'm told. We camped at the foot of the mountain. I was told it is Fry lakebed. At the foot of the Fry mountain, it seemed logical. Soggy is east, southeast of the powdery little campsite, yes?
We entered the area on Green Rock Mine Rd., heading due north, as you said, to the mountain. About three miles in we turned right for a couple hundred yards maybe, and camped a hundred yards or so north, toward the mountain.
I'm interested to hear everybodies take on the trail. Just the fact it's a memorial trial it has my respect. Whether it will be considered technical or extreme by the hard core, remains to be determined.
I enjoyed the whole process and the trail itself. I hope everybody finds something they like about it.
