SO, put a extra gear box between the trans and transfer case.
Or was it a driver side drop?
There wasn't a way to get the 2wd trans to bolt up to a transfercase, hence the intermediate shaft. You saw how short my rear driveshaft is, there ain't no adding nothing, I gotta eliminate before I can go with anything else. At least with the 22RE I can have a 4wd transmission, married tcase, and eventually either stack it or just stick to gears.
