i have that as well but my chevy shackle is the other way and thats how ive seen all the others as well. i dont know if that would be causing vibrations. like 81rokyoat said id go with long single shackles. if you set them up right you can get great travel out of those springs still. check out my thread in the rig gallery and see what happened to my spring pack because i had a double shackle. i destroyed my pack.
 
ive seen the carnage on your rig and that scares me a bit.... how much fabrication will it take to run single long shackles instead?
