You don't want to use the ARB compressor for airing tires up. You will burn it up. I used to use my york on board air compressor for my ARB. I plumbed in a regulator just before the ARB switches and had a line going to my tank before the regulator. It worked great.
The only real downfall of an ARB is the potential for leaks. Some people of never had a problem and some of us have. The only time it's a real problem is when it's leaking in the locker itself. Then you have to tear apart the axle and the locker itself to fix it.
