Hey i bet you bent at least one valve when the timing chain blew. 22r and 22re  motors are interference motors which mean when you tried to roll start it the pistons were moving but the valves weren't.(bent valve) id take the head off and have your valves check just to be sure before you put a timing chain kit back in it might save you some heartache later.
