It is NOT the t-case switch.
All t-case 4 wd switches will always have a pig tail.

It does look like a back up light switch on a L43, or W50 transmission.
It appears to have a 14x1.50 mm thread.
Could be the E-brake light switch?


This switch is normaly open, so if your back up lights are on, the wires under the truck must be connected togeather.
The back up light switch is located on the top of your 82 L45 or L50 trans.
