oh please tell me they pulled the ring gear off the carrier befor they welded it, because it sounds like they just had the hole 3rd on the bench and started welding, warping the carrier and causing it to eat the gears UP
coyote, we DID pull the ring off the carrier when we welded up the rear end. We took 1/4" pieces of plate and welded the
out of them on both sides of the spiders, allowing them to hit all corners of the gears...
CTENG in KS, man I hate to say it but I think you are right....This is why I hate to buy other peoples junk...never know what the hell the other person did to it....been having problems since I got the damn thing
