Any auto parts store worth anything should have it.  A machine shop will most deffinately have it on hand.  Its actually "Plastigauge"  it is a soft plastic stick that varies in thickness.  What you do is put the new bearings in and before you put the rod or main cap on you put a 3/8ths long piece of it across the bearing.  Torque the cap to spec the pull the cap back off, there is a gauge printed on the paper sleeve that contains the plastigauge.  All you do is check what the thickness is of the plastic to know for sure what the specs are.  That way you will know that your stuff is machined correctly!  No second guessing with this stuff at all.
