Today I went through the drivetrain, i replaced 2 universal joints. both penion seals and both output shaft seals. replaced all gear oil in truck. i was suprised at how much oil there in in the transmission and transfer case. with the transfer case i had one question. when i tore the seals out of the transfer case there were two seals on the front output shaft. i replaced it with only one. one was a standard looking seal. and the other was a steel ring with felt. the felt one was on the out side. Le me know what you think.
