if the oil is leaking, your clutch is going to fail pretty soon, if its enough oil from the rear main.....

whoever did the tranny isntall should have noticed this and told you about i

what were you trying to torque it to? because even without the tranny engaged, it takes a good amount of torque to spin the engine.....
