i have doen it, its pretty involved, but not too bad.... i got the lce guides that are both metal for $80 and standard set with everything else from www.engnbldr.com

the stock system uses 2 plastic guides... engine builder's kit uses 1 upgraded steel guide and 1 plastic, i wanted the utmost in reliability and went with bot hte steels from www.lcengineering.com   during teardown, however, i did notice that both of my stock plastic guides were hardly damaged at all....

the www.engnbldr.com upgraded steel guide kit is just fine for most people, and is defiantely better than stock..... im jsut anal and wanted both guides to be metal, probably overkill, but i didnt want ot have to do it again.....

as far as a writeup goes, this is what i used http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/CheapTricks/EngineMods/TimingChain.shtml
