I'd say less then that to be honest. I wouldn't pay over $2k for that thing... why would you go backwards? he dropped the value by putting in those axles instead of leaving the stock axles in and building them up.
10 bolt = complete crap
12 bolt = crap
Tell him to get some toyota axles underneath it and start over again.
