i sound proof'd mine instead of lining it...i've thought long and hard over this and decided, since mines a DD im going to make it look and sound decent. anyway, if i were to line it, i wouldn't put carpet over it. just neoprene the seats and leave the top off forever.
cost me about $50 to sound deaden the whole truck (peel n seal)...still have the doors to do but it made a big difference. next is carpeting my junk which will make a bigger difference. i went this route because i read that the liner stuff doesn't help at all with road noise.
