My poor rusted 1st gen came all bashed in the front... i never got to see it in its full glory... 
It wasn't really that bad but if I didn't do something sooner or later I' have really bent them beyond repair. That last time convinced me that I should cut them before they became unsalvagable and I had to use my spares.
