Matt, the R154 gear set has a higher first gear which uses a difference input and front countershaft gear ratio. So only 3.83 first gear (3.0 V6) and 4.31 first gear (22R turbo) can be interchanged.
I tried to do a trans video, it was a disaster. :reg:

wrenchtect, the gear helix angle on the longer input and countershaft of the 96' and newer R150 is greater and will not interchange with the earlier shorter input gearsets :mad:
