I've also seen the harness rub on the fuel rail on the intake side of the engine, and rub thru the loom, thru the insulation, and let the injector wires/coolant temp sensor wire/etc ground out on the fuel rail.  I've taken to installing a piece of heater hose over that section of fuel rail and making sure the wire loom is in good condition.
