Yeah lose the shim it will do 2 things clear the tie rod and get some caster back into the front end. If it is not a big deal could you check the caster on that thing? It looks like the 4* shimms were added to help with pinion angle but I bet there is negative caster now too. the ride must be
. Just guessing but stock toys are1* posative caster with those shimms I would guess 3* negative or so. I would love to know the real caster and how it drives.
