he wants a mud truck... do not get the thornbirds, they suck is all conditions except looks......

i say make sure you have the gearing to spind biger tires.... trim the fenders, put on the biggest tires you can..... mud is relatively straight runs, so a little rub in turns will be ok....

there is nothing wrong with a bodylift. several people here run them, i have one myself, and have personally put it through hell, and it has never shown any problems

Hmmm the Thornbirds I had on my 84 truck worked great for me, in fact there is a long steep hill behind Silverwood Lake in SBF that I could never seem to climb until I put Thornbirds on my truck, and a single side lug can hold the whole rig on its own. They also worked excellent in mud and even better in snow.
