Re: 2wd conversion

I picked up a low mile 87 2wd for $200, parted down about $900 worth of stuff and have been toying with the idea of making a buggy out of it.  Now that I see WT saying the steering box is fine for the conversion that makes one less thing to worry about.  It had an automatic too, so the floor won't be all boogered up either, can cut the holes exactly where I need them and have it look factory fresh.  I say go for it, cheap is good, and in your situation it should be fairly easy.  Where you put your front spring hanger is only an issue of which springs you use and how far forward you want the axle to be.

You can go through life being scared of the possible, or you can have a little fun and tease the inevitable.

Give a man venison, he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to hunt Blacktail, he'll be frustrated for life!
