The problem with the truck bottoming out, is most likley not the stiffness of shock but, the type of shock you are running, Rancho's and Doestechs are shocks that dampen only and don't rebound. Bilstiens, Edelbrocks and other shocks that are charged with either nitrogen or something like it will help keep those leaf springs from sagging and the truck from bottoming out. I ran Doestechs for about two years and lost about an inch of lift, then I went to the Bilstiens and got it all back. But with a 350 under the hood, I'd throw another leaf in there. Or by Marlins front springs if you have not already.
