Never forget that jeeps have been using *gasp* toyota transmissions for years.  They just stopped int he last few years.  The AX15 is a r150f from a V6 yota, the AW4 is a A340 also from a yota.  Go figure they are both strong.  Now jeep even used yota trannies back in the day (think t4 and t5) those are just glorified L and G series tranny's.   Neither of which is strong at all, even in a yota with a 4 popper.
