it turns out my hub was stuck like that cause the gear that is supposed to slide in and out to engage 4wd was shattered and not all of it was coming out with the spring so maybe that is what is wrong with yours.  Like shamb said to get it undone we moved the driveshaft around and turned the hub at the same tiime and it came undone
