Toyotas have better engineering than Jeeps.  Simple as that.  They are simple, effecient, and reliable.  Toyota put the same basic engine in their trucks for almost twenty years.  This alone is a testament to the Toyota tradition and reliability.  I've owned both a 78 Jeep and an 82 Toyota.  The Toyota is by far the superior piece of equipment.
