Despite everyones adamant warnings  :nonono:  to stay away from double shackles and after hearing all the horror stories about unloading and wheelhop   :sheerterror:   I did it anyway because I was too cheap and I didnt think I had room to move my shackle mount rearward  :shake_head: .  But I have been pleased with them.  No unloading on steep declines even when I was running no shocks  .  So, am I the only one, or is there anyone else who is happy with their double shackle setup?

Well, I must eat my words and say I am not happy with them after all.  I do believe that my double shackles destroyed my beautiful 82 yesterday.  I started to back up on a hill and the next thing I knew, my truck was doing a lazy roll sideways onto the roof.  Crushed the cab and windshield and shook me up pretty good.  I'm baffled ast to how it occured since I was not off camber and the hill wasn't too steep.  The only thing I can think of is that one of my back tires backed against something, causing the shackles to force open and lift one side way up in the air. I don't know.  I no longer endorse double shackles to say the least.
