I've had a lot of stores ask for my phone number. I never give it out.
The look on their face is precious when they ask "can I get your phone number"? and I respond, very friendly, with a smile and a shake of the head, "nope" . They just don't know what to make of it. Then I'll turn to the person behind me "You don't have to give your phone number".
I only give my phone number like at auto parts stores for warrantys and stuff like that. Well, and grocery stores if I don't have my club card with me
