I would hold off on getting upset yet.
From what info is out there, the NWOR springs tend ti be stiff, and pretty heavy duty. You may settle more than the aforementioned 1/2 inch. Get it all settled down and flex the front out a few times...maybe hit some trails. Then measure again and see if they are starting to break in. Don't panic yet!
