several guys in our local club have 30' or so gooseneck trailers.  They put a slide-in camper designed for the bed of a truck on the front, with the sleeping part above the goosneck of the trailer and tie it all down, then put their rigs behind the camper.  It's WAY cheaper than a motorhome, and a nice slide-in camper with slide-out compartments is plenty roomy for 2.  That's what I want to do eventually, but my old IDI Ford struggles on the hills with just my Pickup on the trailer...
