Back on the transmision problem at hand. I tore it down and inspected it. I didn't find any thing except for the 4th gear syncro is draging causing the input shaft to spin at the same speed as the tailshaft. That is why it is hard to shift. I replaced the syncro and put it back together. I found it will spin free without the transfercase installed, but as soon as you bolt up the transfercase it gets tight again. I will have to remove the transfercase and check to see if the tail shaft is being pushed forward by the transfercase. There was a lot of metal shavings in the oil so I think it wore in and got tight. We will know tomorrow.
