I have not.  What's the easiest way to check?  The mechanic that fixed my rear end indicated that it was the wrong side.  I didn't specifically ask if he just looked at the box, but I'd be surprised if he didn't verify since he's a bit of a mad scientist.

Did it come with the jam nut. If so a few turns should tell you. If not, fingernail, knife edge. Anything to observe which way the threads go
