"make sure they are Denso or NGK. None of those German platinum or "650 billion VOLT, multi-electrode X-TRA spark" shenanigans you ordered off the internet after seeing them on some hillbilly car show you saw on a Sunday morning." from 22re performance.com

I have read on many automotive sites, Toyota and other manufacturers, that there is an issue, problem, or some other performance failure thing when installing a Bosch spark plug into a Japanese engine.  And.. that the Bosch spark plugs work fine in a German manufactured auto, like a BMW or Porche.  I do believe there must be "something" to this?

My problem is I have NEVER read or heard about anyone or any organization providing ANY support, test data, dyno tests, or actual spark plug to spark plug comparisons to technically or scientifically explaining why a Bosch spark plug doesn't work in Toyota engine!  WHY??  :dunno:

Does anyone have any certified data or any information from any reliable source that will substantiate and support these claims with facts?  :headscratch:

If the guys at 22RE Peformance say "only use Denso or NGK", I would just like to know TECHNICALLY WHY?  For example... if a Bosch spark plug failures prematurely (10K miles) in my 22RE and a Denso spark plug works fine for 50K miles - WHY?

No... I don't have any Bosch stock in my stock market porfolio.  :gap:
