yes, if it's flooding that will help. if it's starving will make it worse.
Read a bunch of other posts on tuning the float level this weekend. Made one adjustment and will iterate until I get it right.
I took off the carb to mess with the choke linkages and can't find anything wrong there. From what I can tell, the secondary choke flap on the intake manifold side of the carb is linked to the throttle position /primary choke. The flap on the air filter side of the carb is likely opened by airflow alone, as I can't find any obvious mechanical linkage between the two.
