Yeah I think the 22r manifold leaves a bit to be desired. I recently swapped to the 20r head and intake and the 20r intake looks to be superior. Of course that's just looking at the two side by side and guessing. Everything 22r is made to bounce and swirl around, 20r looks smaller, but to be designed more for smooth flow.
I'm not entirely sure it's worth the extra coin on a 100 HP 4 banger, but if you have the money and you want it... Just let us know how it all turns out
