No way to know what year it came from
Sure ya can! If you look at your serial plate on the transmission... just under the model number you will see the first four numbers/letters of the serial code. The first two numbers are the year of production, the next letter is the month of production A-M (I is not used).
Here is my a340h serial. As you can see it was produced in March of 85 along with the rest of my truck. Let me know what you find!
