Today I began stripping the rest of the frame. I removed the trans, t cases and crossmember. I also removed the sliders, which was not too much of a pain since I welded them on in such a way that they would be easier to grind off if needed.
I yanked the front axle out and began prepping it for the SAS. There was not much I could do since I just ordered the Kit Friday, So i should be seeing the much appreciated UPS man on Monday or Tuesday.
Since the axle was rebuilt less than 200 miles ago, all is needed is to swap the rotors and IFS calipers. The axle is equipped with a high pinion, ARB with 4.88 gears.
The inners are stock and the outers are the newer to the market Bellfields.
I still need to weld on the axle truss pictured as soon as I refill my 02 bottle. Then paint etc.....
Stay tuned for the 94 trucks stripdown, which should commence tuesday or wednesday. Im still debating on using a torch, or just of sawzall blades and grinder wheels.
I have zero experience with a torch so I may forgo that idea and just invest in many blades and wheels!
