Got some work done this weekend. Got the broken Exh manifold bolt out of the head and the bad freeze plug.

I also just hung the 5.3 in the 80 to try and clear up the manifold mess.

I must say it is encouraging, to get it in there and just look at what I'm dealing with



There are some small issues, I need to bend the P/S pump fill/return line so it will clear the steering box. Also need to cut down the AA motor mounts, as they are stick out about a 1/2" past the frame rails, while the motor still needs to come down a few more inches




But on the most encouraging note, I think The exhaust manifold question is now answered. The Truck manifolds really are not as bad as I had thought. But seeing how close they are to working makes me feel like the 2010-2015 Camaro manifolds will work. Im finding them on ebay for 160 a set. I hope to order them by the end of the week.
