Glad you got that sorted out. When you go back in there to clean up the quickie, solder those joints and use ahesive lined heat shrink, it's not very expensive and won't corrode like a big wonky butt connection will in the future. Especially with water crossings.
I'll be using these

However if water crossing gets to these connections then I'm already hosed as my ECM will be fried. We don't have a lot of water crossings here in WA. The ones that we do don't get that high.
