Diggin up old posts...nub question...I have a donor fwd shift case, no idea what it came out of but I am trying to get a positive ID on what case it is by matching it to the list in the bible. My question is how to measure to determine 4" vs. 4.5" offset. I dont have a tranny to measure between shifter openings (I think this is probably the standard measurement to make), so is there another way? Does anyone know the overall lengths of the shift rails in one vs. the other? I have the case entirely apart so this would be the easiest measurement to make at this point. The reason it matters is I need to order an indicator switch and there seem to be different diameter openings on the different cases (maybe I am wrong about this, in which case it does not matter).
