So I got some parts and some work done.

First I replaced the 28 year old Power steering Idle air control valve. This is for a 3vz, as I couldn't find a cheap one for the 22re. Seemd to work.

Nitro 9.5" 4.88 Gears, install kit and solid spacer.

First I put the spartan in.

Gear on!

80ft lbs!!! and some locktight red.

Having a stand makes things much easier. This gear set moved the shims, off the pinion and under the pinion race. I like this a lot more!

First go at it with factory spacing. .053" patten to shallow. Needs more shims! But close.

Second patter at .055" Looking better.

Last on at .058 I'lle take it.

Drive:

Coast:

Got the solid pinion spacer in with a .012 shim and 120 ft lbs.

All that is left is a final cleaning, seal install and thats done. Also got FROR ARP Steering and hub studs.

If you see it, its for sale.
