Now onto why It got parted out and sold. I had just bought a 2005 double cab Tacoma. 3" lift, fully armored, 4.0L V6 and a 6 speed manual trans. I got the wild idea to solid axle this truck and had a hi pinion 60 driver drop in my garage. Going tons and links was gonna be spendy so I parted out the 1st gen. While wheeling the Tacoma around the PNW I realized it's just too big for up here... While searching for a donor truck to build a truggy out of I got a message from the guy I sold the body and frame to asking me if I want it back. I bought it back and while I was at it got the motor back from another friend. With the money I got from parting out the 1st gen I bought all of my link parts. So now with a pile of parts and my chasis back it's time for phase 3... Here is the mistress. DC on 37's.
