Does it have two locking screws for adjustment on it..I have never really looked that close to the older ones.I know the taco has them..What if you made a bracket to allow more pressuse to the valve.Meaning juat make the bracket push up on the arm more.uknow a bit longer from the axle..i don't know if I would remeove it altogther untill you talk with someone who has..You might find your self doing more brake line plumbing then you want to do..
