Not sure about those years but I tried to take the AC unit from a 1992 4Runner and use it in a 1992 Pickup and they weren't the same.   Maybe if you got everything, heater core, AC, Blower unit, etc it might work.

YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE
AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU HAVE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.
